تحدث محمود عبد الرازق شيكابالا لاعب الزمالك، عن خسارة فريقه أمام الهلال السعودي، اليوم الجمعة ببطولة كأس سوبر لوسيل.

وانتصر الهلال على الزمالك بنتيجة 4-1 بركلات الجزاء بعد انتهاء المباراة في وقتها الأصلي بالتعادل الإيجابي بهدف لكل فريق.

وقال شيكابالا خلال تصريحات لقناة “الكأس”: “كنا نريد أن نُسعد الجماهير، وجماهير الفريقين كانوا سعداء اليوم، المباراة كانت جيدة والتنظيم على أعلى مستوى”.

وأضاف: “شيء يشرف وبروفة جيدة قبل كأس العالم بحضور هذا العدد من الجماهير بالنسبة للملعب”.

وواصل: “إن شاء الله القادم أفضل للزمالك”.

وأضاف عبر قناة “أون تايم سبورت”: “الدوري انتهى متأخرًا وفيريرا كان يجب أن يُعطي اللاعبين راحة، وتدربنا 6 أيام فقط ولعبنا مباراة بمستوى عال، لو كنا جاهزون أكثر كان من الممكن أن نؤدي مباراة أفضل من ذلك”.

وتابع: “لم أتوقع سير اللقاء، أشكر الجماهير التي دعمتنا، ولكن هذه هي كرة القدم والفريق الأفضل هو الذي فاز لأنهم كانوا أكثر جاهزية”.

وأكمل: “قلت للاعبين بعد المباراة ارفعوا رؤوسكم نحن الأبطال وإن شاء الله نعود في المباريات القادمة ونحقق المكسب”.

وأتم: “هزيمة اليوم درس للاعبين، وإن شاء الله جمهورنا سيرى وجه الزمالك الحقيقي في المباريات القادمة”.

A number of Liverpool supporters have reacted positively to a transfer rumour linking the Reds with a move for Chelsea attacker Christian Pulisic.

Jurgen Klopp’s men delivered an emphatic performance last weekend, dispatching Arsenal 4-0 at Anfield and overcoming the defeat to West Ham in their previous game.

It was a win which once again highlighted Liverpool’s title credentials, although they are set to be in a tough battle with Chelsea and Manchester City.

The one thing the other Premier League title contenders arguably have over the Reds is squad depth, with Klopp not enjoying the luxury of having as many attacking options.

According to Calciomercato [via LFC Transfer Room on Twitter], Liverpool are interested in signing Chelsea winger Pulisic, with the American managing just one league start all season.

He has shown that he can thrive at Premier League level, though, with nine goals and four assists in the 2019/20 season. One of those goals opened the scoring against Manchester City on the night that Liverpool were finally crowned champions of England.

Taking to Twitter, Portuguese transfer journalist Pedro Almeida has now dropped an exciting transfer claim as Celtic eye a permanent deal for Jota.

The Lowdown: Jota shines at Parkhead…

Since signing on loan from Benfica in the summer, the 22-year-old has gone on to dazzle at Parkhead under Ange Postecoglou, and there have been reports speculating whether Celtic will trigger his €7.5m (£6.2m) option-to-buy clause in the deal.

Indeed, rumours from Portugal indicate that Postecoglou and the Hoops are eager to do so, as they have until the end of this season to decide whether to take him on permanently.

A Bola believe that Celtic are ‘willing to do so’ given they are ‘satisfied’ with the performance of Jota, with reporter Almeida now backing this claim as he drops an exciting Twitter transfer message.

Taking to social media, the reporter believes that Postecoglou and co will now ‘advance’ to Jota’s ‘definitive’ signing from Benfica on a permanent move as he explained:

The Verdict: No-brainer…

It is no secret that the 22-year-old has been a revelation for Celtic in Scotland and we believe that the club would be remiss not to try and make his stay in Glasgow permanent.

A real statement of intent for £6.2m, a deal which would place Jota in the club’s top ten most expensive signings of all time (Transfermarkt), he is arguably worth every penny.

From a performance perspective, the Portugal under-21 international is currently Celtic’s joint-second top scorer in the Scottish top flight, while only David Turnbull has averaged a higher rate of attempts on goal per 90, marking Jota out as a true threat in the final third (WhoScored).

The attacker has also received garlands galore from Scottish pundits, including Celtic legend John Hartson, who branded him ‘dynamite’ and a ‘very special’ player (Daily Record).

It seems likely that Jota is only going to get better and better judging by his young age, not to mention the potential for a seismic sell-on value if he continues to impress in Scotland.

Taking all this into account, securing his signature indefinitely must surely be a priority for Postecoglou and Celtic.

Manchester United’s new manager Ralf Rangnick is tempted to move for RB Leipzig midfielder Amadou Haidara in the upcoming January transfer window.

What’s the story?

According to SPORTbible (who cite The Mirror), the 63-year-old tactician could sanction a deal for the box-to-box dynamo after previously signing him from Red Bull Salzburg for Leipzig back in January 2019.

Haidara’s current contract with the Bundesliga giants is believed to contain a £33m release clause, meaning a move to Old Trafford over the coming months could be relatively straightforward.

Man Utd can get rocking again

Securing the Mali international’s services during the winter window could get United rocking again, rescuing their stuttering season in the process.

The highly-rated 23-year-old has become a crucial cog in Leipzig’s setup over the last two years, scoring ten goals and providing six assists in 100 appearances for Jesse Marsch’s charges.

However, it’s the holding midfielder’s defensive work that really catches the eye.

As per FBref.com, Haidara has averaged 0.96 tackles won per 90 this term, 6.56 successful pressures and 2.26 blocks, outperforming Scott McTominay in each metric.

After bringing the midfield gem to the Red Bull Arena from sister club Salzburg, Rangnick made no effort to hide his pleasure at Haidara’s arrival, lauding the engine room operator’s quality.

“We’re delighted to have signed Amadou,” he told the club’s official website upon his unveiling (as relayed by Bundesliga.com).

“We’ve been following his progress in Salzburg, as he’s developed into an absolutely exceptional player there. There aren’t many players his age with so much potential. He has all the requirements to follow in Naby Keita’s footsteps.”

With Rangnick’s famous gegenpressing style requiring a set of players with a very specific set of physical and mental attributes, the temptation to bring in a player already familiar with what is required is obvious for the German coach.

United’s lack of a natural defensive midfielder has long been discussed amongst pundits, fans and journalists alike, and Haidara could be the ideal solution.

It remains to be seen whether United’s new boss will be backed with significant sums in order to improve his first-team squad over January, but if he is, then the versatile gem may well be top of his wishlist.

With Antonio Conte heading into his first Premier League fixture in charge of Tottenham Hotspur this weekend, the 52-year-old will certainly be hoping for a much-improved performance than in Spurs’ last league outing, a 3-0 thumping at Old Trafford.

And, with the Italian manager switching Tottenham’s set-up to a 3-4-3 formation in the club’s 3-2 Europa Conference League victory over Vitesse on Thursday, in which Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Oliver Skipp started as the central midfield duo, it can be assumed that the former Inter Milan boss will stick with this tactic for the trip to Everton on Sunday afternoon.

However, rather than Skipp lining up alongside Hojbjerg in the middle of the park, it would seem likely that the Italian will call upon a player who he reportedly attempted to sign during his time at the San Siro – Tanguy Ndombele.

Indeed, while the 24-year-old started Thursday’s European fixture on the bench, upon his introduction to the match midway through the second half, the France international proved to be something of a game-changer for Spurs.

Despite featuring for just 18 minutes of the tie, the £40.5m-rated midfielder made two key passes, created one big chance, made one interception and won one duel.

In comparison, while Skipp is quite clearly a different profile of player to Ndombele, the 21-year-old was rather less creative during his 73 minutes on the pitch, making no key passes and creating no big chances, although he did make two interceptions and win three duels.

As such, with Spurs more than likely requiring a little more creativity and attacking impetus than against Vitesse if they are to take all three points from Goodison Park on Sunday, Conte simply must unleash the man who Tim Sherwood dubbed a “maverick” against the Toffees. The £120k-per-week Ndombele undoubtedly has the ability to terrify an Everton side who have lost three Premier League fixtures on the bounce.

Matthew Hayden has planned to set up a youth academy in Chennai and wants to take the help of Rahul Dravid and his Super Kings coach Stephen Fleming in the venture.Hayden said he had decided to give back to the city where he had practised playing on turning tracks ten years ago on Australia’s 2000-01 tour to India. “About a decade back, when I came here to practise on turning tracks, I told myself standing in an empty Chepauk stadium that I would score a century for Australia one day,” Hayden told the . “I did that, and now this is a way of giving something back to the city from where I have got so much.”Hayden said education would be given equal importance to cricket in the academy. “We should be able to understand that the kids who will be training in the academy may not go on to become cricketers in life. Education is something they can always fall back on.”Hayden said he had spoken to Dravid about the academy when they were playing in the IPL in South Africa earlier this year. “Rahul Dravid has those values in him which I can also identify with … and I would surely love to have him with me.”Former Australian captain Steve Waugh has been involved in charity projects in India, especially in Kolkata, and has been an inspiration to Hayden. “I have always been inspired by the way Steve worked for Udayan in Kolkata. Similarly, I am also looking forward to do something for Chennai.”
